I have been incredibly excited about Ina Garten’s memoir since I heard it was coming out in September of 2024. I find her graceful, elegant, and everything I wished I was, but sadly I am not. I am rough, I am tumble, I am made like a bull ox in a china shop. I appreciate simple things. I appreciate beautiful things. One thing that I discovered that Garten and I have in common is experiencing trauma in our childhood. I appreciate how she has taken her painful experiences and created a loving marriage, a thriving business, and an incredibly powerful life for herself and for her beloved Jeffrey.
My next goal is to buy myself one of her cookbooks and cook from it. And find her email and become penpals with her, if that is still a thing. I can dream, can’t I?
