The weather has been crazy here in Washington State, rainy and then sunny. I call it Bi-polar weather because it cannot make up its mind. Friday night, while it rained outside I laid in my bed getting lost in the story world that James R. Hannibal created in his newest book “Elysium Tide”. This is about a neurosurgeon doctor and a detective that solve a case in Hawaii. To me, it felt like Magnum PI kind of vibe, it is set in Hawaii and the doctor is British and the detective she is Hawaiian. This was a great detective story to get lost into and it kept my mind off of my joint pain. I use reading as a diversion to my pain days. It works. No medications needed sometimes. I have read two other books by Hannibal that I enjoyed, “The Gryphon Heist” and “Chasing The White Lion”. Both of these were amazing, so I suspected this one would be great too. I am glad that I got the opportunity to dive into his newest creation and I look forward to his other books. It looks like I missed one, so I will have to find it and pick it up to read. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy CIA, FBI, or Police stories and mysteries. I love them, so these are great for me.
