Just finished another novel in June. Another detective mystery called Among the Innocent by Mary Alford. This is about a woman whose family was murdered and she was spared. They thought they caught the guy, but turns out it was not the guy they thought it was. This is a chaotic, traumatic, and intriguing book that I enjoyed. I love stories that are centered around strong women who fight back and who find themselves along the way. This is one of those types of detective stories I also love that it includes Amish culture and other interesting elements that help you along the journey of discovery who and why the person murdered the family. It also has a bit of romance, but not too much. I like that too. This is a great book to get lost in for the evening or afternoon or while sitting at a doctor appointment waiting to be seen or anywhere you have to sit and wait.
