While sitting for my Rituximab infusion I read “All That Fills Us” by Autumn Lytle. This is a great story, it reads like one of those memoirs like “Wild”, but a God center version. What attracted me to this book was that this story was centered around Mount Rainer, that is where the heroine of the story was heading in her trek from Michigan was to Washington State where I live. I love Mount Rainer. It is gorgeous. The only national rain forest in the state of Washington is in Washington state and around Mount Rainier. How amazing is that? Bonus, I felt an instant connection to the author needing support and love from her mother who was more into you should be good approach to everything. A lot of woman can relate to that type of mothering from the church center mothers. The affection and validation was not common when raised in a legalistic home environment. That is what I got from the story is that the mother was legalistic. This was a good story. Well written and I hope to read more from this author.
