February’s selection for the Literati Book Club was “The Reading List” by Sara Nisha Adams. At first glance I thought this was a non-fiction while reading I discovered it was a fiction story about a friendship between an older man and a young woman who meet in a library. I was intrigued. Reading has been something I have enjoyed doing since I was young. My birth mom was a big reader and I have older sister that is a huge reader also. It is in my blood.
I have enjoyed reading this book, the sections are broken into chapters centered around a book that these two individuals are reading. I am not going to spoil the story for you in how they meet or what the books are. I want you to pick up a copy for yourself. These two individuals help each other through rough patches and support each other while healing. This a book about relationships and how they impact our lives even when tragedy hits us. This book is a keeper for me and I highly recommend everyone read this wonderful book.
