Happy New Year! It’s 10:30 New Years Eve as I am writing this post. I am having a quiet day. I slept a lot because I started CellCept yesterday and it has made my body tired. This is one of many side effects of this medication. The side effects list is huge and if I read it then I am going to cause myself anxiety. Because I have no option for my lungs and body if I do not take this medication. 2022 is going to be my year of recovery. I am choosing to step back and re-evaluate my habits, lifestyle, and my health and personal life to reach remission with the inflammation in my body. I am not going to explain here why inflammation is bad and what happens to your body when you are living with inflammation constantly in your body. We all know this. At the end of this I will live some links of good information about inflammation and how it affects the body if you would like to read on the subject and CellCept.

Here are my intentions for my year of Recovery:

  • Snuggle with my boy (Nicholas) more. I love this furry cat with my entire heart and soul. He is so soft and he is a gentle and calm soul.
  • Laugh more. I never knew I needed laughter until I watched the movie Clifford the Big Red dog. If you have not seen this movie, I suggest you watch. It is full of moments to laugh.
  • Consistently post on Wellness Works NW Facebook page, schedule posts that uplift and encourage.
  • Post book reviews, updates on my journey of recovery on my blog
  • Post pictures on my Instagram more regularly.
  • Breathe…
  • Figure out a way for me to take a writing class on-line. Then take one class at a time.
  • Continue to do facials. I love how my face has been feeling from doing them.
  • Skin care: Include my entire body, from head to toe in my skin care self-care routine
  • Plant herbs of Italian Parsley, basil, Oregano, and thyme to use in my cooking.
  • Write and send more cards out to people in my life.
  • Pray, learn, and extend the power of prayer in my life
  • Find a full body scan meditation that I can do and that I stick with for the year.
  • Journal that includes my what I am grateful for list.
  • Bible study. I’m set up to do yearly Bible readings with two different groups. I need a community to bounce off.
  • Create things with the herbs that I have received from my apothecary class. Learn the herbs and their health benefits.
  • Cook full meals and recipes and not rely on prepared foods for my eating.
  • Take hot bath and soak in the tub.
  • Get my covid-19 vaccine
  • Start Cell Cept and reach remission
  • Get a new power chair, hopefully by March.
  • Move my body daily so I can keep my muscles strong. I want to become more flexible and agile.
  • Listen to music more often.
  • Read 200 books this year.

I am keeping my intentions simple and small. I am choosing to move slow and with intention this year. In my next counseling session, it will be time to set up goals for the next six months with David (my counselor). This will help me. I also have two planners one for medical appointments and one to keep track of my health goals. Last year, I had everything in one planner it was too awkward. I broke it up into two planners. This will work better for me.  I am looking forward to seeing what this year will bring. What about you?
