One of the places on my travel bucket list is Alaska. I want to see the glaciers, the polar bears, the mountains, the mushing dogs, and the majestic scenery. I also want to see the whales and penguins. In Susan May Warren’s new book Sunrise, she takes you on an adventure to Alaska and the relationship between Dodge and Echo. The descriptions of the scenery, the cabins, the snow, and the life of Alaska is wonderful. The relationship between Dodge and Echo is complicated and full of assumptions, trauma, and pain. I connect with Echo. Romantic love scares me. I’m still working and healing through it with God’s help. This book is about healing and forgiveness and letting it all the pain go to move forward and live well. I like that theme.
