If you enjoy reading historical fiction, then A Heart Adrift by Laura Frantz is a book for you. Set in the 1700’s and a lady chocolatier and a ship captain fall in love and go through heartache and redemption in this book. I like Frantz writing style and the way she does her research and expresses herself through the characters especially portraying strong woman. I also like that the women speak their minds and have jobs and work hard despite the presidents of the times.
I like reading stories of strong woman who use their voice and fight for others. This is that book. There is romance and Captain Lennox would be a dream man for me if I were to ever fall in love and get married. If you want to get lost in a story, then I would choose this book.
