The latest novel I chose to get lost in was “Watch Over Me” by Nina Lacour. This was October’s book for my Literati Club. I love being apart of Literati Club because I get to read books that I do not normally gravitate towards. I would not have chosen this book. Saying this I will admit that I found myself getting lost in the story world of Lacour and complicated and complex lives of the characters in this novel. I was spell bound until the last page. I was sad to see it end.
I love that this book is broken up into short chapters so that you can take a break from reading easily to do other things, such as sleeping. I also love how developed these characters were but also at the same time complex. I also love how simple and clear Lacour’s writing style is. She is a great author, and I am going to read another novel of hers in the future.
