I use reading novels as a pain management tool. The tool I use is distraction. This helps me to get my mind off my pain. My latest novel that I read as a distraction is A Midnight Dance by Joanna Davidson Politano. I am not a big artsy woman, but this is a beautiful story that shows the resilience of people. I am not going to tell you the story. I hope that you will chose to purchase your own and discover this story yourself. This story is centered around a ballerina and the theater both past and present. There were parts that were amazing and some parts that were like mud to get through. All in all, it was a good story to get loss in. For me, this book was a bit too girly for me. I like girl things, but too much and I want to turn away and run. This was almost to that point where I was going to run, but the intriguing mystery of the choice kept me hooked enough that I wanted to see what happened. I’m glad I kept reading.
