I have been wanting to read The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner since I saw many of the readers on Good Reads raving about it. I finally had the opportunity to read it. I am part of the Book of the Month Club and it was one of the choices I had to choose from. I am so excited that I got to read and finish it.
What draws me to this story is that it centers around two different time frames, one in the 1700 hundreds and the other in our era. There is an apothecary shop, and a woman makes potions to help her clients with their husbands. Let us just say there is murder, mystery, and surprise twist and turns in this story. I thought the interchanging between the two-time era’s was well done and it kept me drawn into the story. If you like mysteries and strong women then this is the book for you.
