I am part of a book club call Literati. I chose to become part of a book club where someone chooses a book for you to read. I wanted to expand my horizons. Klara and the Sun is the first book I was given to enjoy.

Klara and the Sun is written by Kazuo Ishiguro who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2017. I can see why. He is a fabulous writer and even though I did not enjoy reading Klara and the Sun. I do appreciate his writing skills and storytelling. It was just not my style.

I am not a big reader of futuristic and robot stories. Anyone who likes these types of stories will enjoy this book. I did like the concept. Robots being used as medical companions and companions for children and at-risk adults. That element was intriguing and kind of fun to think about.

Overall, I am glad that I gave this book a chance and learned about a new author.
