I love reading mysteries. I love getting lost in a story. Patricia Bradley’s newest book “Obsession” is a great book to get lost in. I use reading to keep my mind off of having a pain day or night. I also use it when I wake up in the middle of the night with choking on my mucus plugs because of my trach tube. After a hard cough it is hard for me to get back to sleep. Reading is a great tool to help me stay calm and focus on something other than my chronic condition.
This book has murder, intrigue, and even a bit of romance. If that is your cup of tea, then this book is for you. It is also set in the mountains and one of the main characters is a strong woman who is a ranger. I love books that have strong women characters in them. The main character Emma is strong, and in search of her missing brother, but ends up being stocked. Her old fiancé comes to help her. This is a good story. The writing is well done. I got lost in it quickly.
I believe this is a great novel for anyone who loves mysteries and romance.
