This year I discovered that I like reading books on my Kindle and so I have been indulging in my new device. I was not sure I would like to read from a Kindle. I still love regular books. The smell of the paper, the feel of the paper in my hands, the feel of turning the page instead of swiping, but I do see the advantages of reading from a Kindle. I was given an E-book copy of Burden of Proof by Davis Bunn that I devoured on my Kindle. It took me two days. I could not put it down. It is a complicated story about a man who has regrets about the murder of his brother and goes on a journey with the widow of his brother to discover why his brother was murdered.

I like simple stories that showcase the wide range of human emotions and show that men have just as man regrets as women do. That they feel the pain of losing someone. They may go about dealing with the grief differently, but they still feel. I also like that the widow and the brother work to find out who murdered their love one. It connects them.

If you want to get lost in a mystery and a family drama then this is the book for you. It is well written and it has some great insight into the human emotions that many try to hide especially when grieving.

If you would like to purchase your own copy:
