I love reading novels with strong women. I even love reading historical novels about strong women. The Love Note is a historical type of romance novel that features a strong woman who wants to be a doctor in 1865. I love that. I’m not going to ruin the story by telling you what happens because I won’t still the joy of reading this wonderful book from you.
I read this novel while I was in the hospital for week. If you are part of my community you know I have issues with breathing and I had an episode and you can read all about it here. Boredom is a thing in the hospital. There is only so much TV you can watch before you want to tear your eyes out. I didn’t bring my lap top, and I didn’t ask my family to bring it to me instead I asked them to bring me a few books I had to read for a review. The Love Note was one of them. I got lost in the story. Politano writings reminds me a lot of Jane Austen. Politano creates amazing characters in this book and I look forward to reading more from her in the future.
