I am not a big fan of books about the end times. The reason why is because we truly do not know when Jesus will be coming back. Jesus said that we will not know the time or place when He will come back and take us to be with Him. I believe this with my whole heart. That is why I avoid books talking about the end times. For years, I mean years people have been predicting the day and time we will be taken up to be with Jesus. I remember as a kid having some minister predict the date. The date has come and went many times. I know that this has happened through-out history and men and women won’t know this information until we are actually taken up.
That being said John Hagee’s book “Earth’s Last Empire” is not just a book talking about the end times. The beginning of the book he talks about the history of Israel becoming a nation again in May 1948 and the war they had in 1967. I do love history. I do love learning about Israel and land, the culture, traditions, and the people there. He spends a lot of his time explaining and teaching about the history. I love this aspect of the book. The prediction and the foretelling I am not a big fan of because of we will not know for sure until it actually happens. I agree the world is going crazy with all the pain, violence, and disrespect however, this is not nothing new in history so we cannot count on that to be the reasoning of predicting this is the final stage.
If you are a fan of books teaching about the end times and also learning the history of Israel then this is the book for you. I do recommend it. It is a thick book and it will dive thoroughly into the rich history of Israel and I love that. If you are not a fan of books talking about the end times then this is not the book for you.
