I love reading stories of strong men and women who become disabled and how they have chosen to live well anyway. In Beautifully Broken by Paige and Josh Wetzel we go on a journey of a soldier who lost both of his legs in Afghanastan and is amazing journey to finding himself and to his wife and children and to God. This is a beautiful story. It is painful at moments, laughter at moments, and full of love in a lot more moments. This soldier went through the ringer and came out stronger than ever before.
I am amazed how much his wife and his family supported him through the dark days along with the joyful moments. He bounced back and instead of living in the pain he chose to get up and live well anyway and making a life for himself and his family. I admire his determination and stubbornness.
This book gives hope and it encourages and we all need that in our lives right now.
