When I read the jacket of Awful Beautiful Life by Becky Powell I thought it was going to be a man bashing, how I was betrayed by my husband type of book. It wasn’t. I’m glad. I gained a lot of respect Becky Powell with how she showed her authentic, integrity that her husband had shown before he passed away. She paid back every creditor.
The writing of this book is simple, straight forward and no flowery words. I like that in a book. I also appreciate that Becky Powell shared her heart and her pain throughout the process. I felt a kindred spirit when I read about her faith and trust in God as she went through this nasty journey. This book shows that even if someone you are married to is dishonest and sins that doesn’t mean you have to. You can make things right and move forward anyway. We all need to know this story for our own journey’s.
