Light From Distant Stars was different than the normal historical/women fiction that I normally read. I had a hard time getting started, but once I got past chapter 4 I started getting into the storyline of Cohen and his family. Smucker’s writing style is simple, elegant, and easy to read and I liked it. Once I got passed chapter 4, then I had a hard time putting “Light From Distant Stars” down and I read it all in one weekend.
If you like mystery mixed with fantasy mixed with drama then you will enjoy this book. I believe any chronic babe man or woman would like getting lost in the maze of this novel and be pleasantly surprised by the ending.
