Victoria Osteen had me hooked in her new book Exceptionally You, when she stated in her introduction that she had thoughts of “is it worth it?”. I have been having those same thoughts concerning my autoimmune issues and my goals of weight loss and keeping on the plan for my subglottic stenosis. I get discouraged all the time when my stenosis causes me to struggle to breathe.
I found this book encouraging and uplifting hitting many things I have been thinking on the head of the nail. It helped me stick to my original state of I am worth fighting for because God fought for me and died for me.
One of aspect of the book that quickly became my favorite was at the end of each chapter she included exceptional thoughts, which sort of like mantras to say to yourself especially during times of suffering and struggling. I will be writing this out on post its and as reminders to myself during my suffering moments.
This book would be a good fit for chronically ill sufferers like me, who struggle with doubts, and what’s the point thoughts. I highly recommend.
