Laughter is the best medicine. As I read “Get On Your Knee Replacements and Pray!” I kept thinking that even thought this book is written for those who are in retirement age it sure fits my life as a chronic babe.
One theme throughout this book from all the Kanel sisters was that even though you are getting older, your body hurts, you are retired, and the other eventhoughs of life you can still live well and God still will use you in an assignment. Your life will just be different. I like that. I needed to hear this. For me, although I’m in the middle of my forties, gulp, and have several chronic illnesses to live with I can still live well and can do whatever assignment that God puts in my heart and path. I’m capable, especially since I have a powerful God who is within me and will guide me through it all.
