Nothing speaks to people than food. Food connects people together. We celebrate with food. We even connect with God with food, especially during Jewish festivals and Christmas and Easter. In Margaret Feinberg’s book “Taste and See” we explore this very thing. Even better, she shares some great recipes in this book.
What I love about this book is that Feinberg goes on adventures with her food and learns about Salt, Olives, Bread, Lamb, and Fish. She connects all these foods to Jesus and how we connect to him with food. There are even suggestions at the end of each section in helping you and your community connect even better with food and Jesus and other relationships.
Some of my best memories center around food. Watching my mom cook fried potatoes and beans and cornbread and eating it together in a bowl while watching a movie. This book made me smile and remember and even feel even more in awe with God and his graciousness. I highly recommend this book.
