This year I started reading my Bible in Chronological order with a few people on the YouVersion Bible App. We are in the book of Joshua right now, even so I devoured Joyce Meyer’s newest book a Biblical commentary on the book of James. I have never read a commentary book and I wasn’t sure what I would be getting. Still I knew I wanted to dive in and be edified. I am glad I did.
As usual, Joyce Meyer doesn’t hold back. I also appreciated that she did small bits a few lines at a time so that I could get what James was trying to teach us about to be a better Christ follower. I know for me I tend to dive in and read straight through like it is a book. I had never read it in the way that Meyer had it written in her book. I got a lot more from it and it was easier to digest and take to my heart that way.
If you want to dive deeper into the book of James and digest it slowly then this is a great commentary for you.
