I love reading memoirs that tell about the greatness and power of Jesus. In Break Through by Joyce Smith you get such a story. A mother prays over her son who just fell through ice and died for a bit before she prayed over him and he came by to life. There is more to the story then just my simplification. One aspect of the story that spoke right to my heart was when the mother basically told the doctor and the nurses and those around her son that they will speak life when they talk about her son. Speaking life instead of death, what a powerful concept to take into your soul. Reminds me of Ezekiel when God tells him to speak life unto the dry bones.

It is inspirational, it is a great encouragement, and mostly it is a wonderful opportunity to thank God for his blessings.

Anyone who wants to be reminded how awesome our God is then this book will do that. I love how humble the young man is still after all this happened.
