I first listened to Chris Tomlin’s worship music with my sister after she picked me up for a trip. I never heard him before and I could tell that my sister enjoyed his music. I have to admit I did too. When I received the opportunity to read Chris Tomlin’s book Holy Roar that he wrote with Darren Whitehead I knew that it would be a real treat. I wasn’t wrong.
Whitehead and Tomlin take seven Hebrew words that pertain to worshiping God and tells us the meaning and about the biggest worship songs that Tomlin has written or sung. I learned some new Hebrew words and that helps me in my own study of God’s word. It’s a short book, but it is full of so much wisdom and powerful worship that you feel like you’ve read a giant book.
I will recommending this book to my sister, but also to my fellow chronic illness sufferers.
