I have read a previous book by Mandy Hale, so I was excited to be able to read You Are Enough. I love that she shares her authentic story with her readers. I also appreciated that she shared her anxiety, depression, and pain with us and the active things she did to find healing. She had to be an outpatient in a mental faculty to gain the healing she needed to be well.
As I read You are Enough I kept going back to many moments in my post with old boyfriends and friends and even some family members that I need to heal from. I will be asking my counselor to guide me through this process. It is time. One particular section that Hale wrote hit me between the eyes. Where she said that she had given up on romance and kept finding unavailable men that she connected with. This touched home, because I have done the same thing, so I took a self imposed hiatus from finding another relationship. This is something that I am going to talk to God about and my counselor and she if I am putting up barriers.
