I have a rescue cat. I love him dearly. He adds a lot of enjoyment in my life. So, when I received Second Chance Dogs by Callie Smith Grant I knew that I would love this book. Pets, no matter what they are add a lot of love, healing, and comfort to everyone they bless with their appearance. I know I have been blessed with my Nicholas.
I love that this book has short stories from different people. I even recognize a few of the writers from Daily Bread devotions that I receive in the mail.
I think anyone who sees the value in rescue pets would enjoy this book, especially if you are a dog lover. Because I know as a chronic babe I can share stories about how my Nicholas is with me and enriches by life, so I am sure other chronic babes will be able to appreciate these stories.
