I have been chronically ill since 2009 and perhaps even before 2009. It’s been a long journey and I wish that there was Ilana Jacqueline’s book “Surviving and Thriving with an Invisible Chronic Illness” way back then. Unfortunately, there wasn’t. I had to journey on this crazy roller coaster on my own. That being said, I still found value and even sighs of agreement with everything Ilana shared.
The pain of not knowing and thinking that if I only know what is happening it can be cured. That was a big dillusion by the way. I also learned how to advocate for myself and keep making plans for every scenario possible. This has been a life saver for me. Now, I am on a journey of finding the joy and peace of just living well despite my health condition. Yes, she even writes about this topic in her book.
My fellow chronic illness sufferse I recommend you pick up this book, I found this gem at my local library, and dive in and not only find validation, but even a few new tools for your own path.
