Adoption has been a part of my family. My brother and his wife adopted a girl, and in a way I was engrafted into a new family. It was called guardianship, but it was adoption in a sense. As I was reading Natalie Gwyn’s memoir about her families adoption of 4 children from Ethopia I was reminded of the struggles, the challenges, new rules, and even the love that came from a new family.
This is a great book and it should be included in the reading material of any family looking to adopt. It shares the ups and downs and the process and how this family felt throughout the process.
