This week I got to dive into a novel. I chose to read Hurricane Season by Lauren K. Denton and I am glad that I did. Hurricane Season is a story of sisters Betsy and Jenna who discover who they are and how they want their lives to be. Both sisters had a lot of healing to do. Jenna’s little girls were so adorable.
What I love about this book is the descriptive sentences Denton uses to describe Alabama, Florida, and the people. Last night I couldn’t sleep and it was easier to handle because I had a good book to read to keep my mind occupied so I wouldn’t concentrate on my pain and discomfort.
