This year I chose the word rebuild. I am amazed how God brings the things that I need to read into my life. Joyce Meyer’s new book Living a Life You Love is one of those things God has brought into my life. I especially love her writing on building relationships and changing your environment. I am pursuing bariatric surgery, that means changing my attitude about exercise and how much to eat and what to it. It’s scary, but I know that I am suppose to be going down this road.
I appreciate Meyer’s no non-sense approach to living well with God and despite what the world things living well means. She always says the first thing is to get into God words. He is the foundation. That is so true. I live with an illness that oftentimes makes me feel like I am less than a person and I have to constantly remind myself that I am valuable and a child of God and more importantly, that I am worth fighting for. When I first got sick I knew that I had to change my environment and how I thought about life in order to heal. Now I am diving deeper into that mind frame as I approach my health in a different manner.
This is an awesome book, great scriptures to remind you what a great life is. Great quotes. Great insight and bluntness that only Joyce Meyer can give. It is well worth the read.
