Spiritual warfare is something that frightens me, but I also know that I have the tools to protect myself. In Havilah Cunnington’s book Stronger Than the Struggle I was reminded of what those tools are and how to use them. The first tool is the sword of the word of God. I like what Cunningham described. She described how the Roman armies fought with a quick stab and not a side swipe of the sword. It was quick and to the point. It is how we are supposed to use the sword of God’s Word when we are doing battle. I love being reminded because sometimes while in the moment of an attack I forget my identity in Christ. Especially when stress overwhelms me and things happen that have no explanation.

I recommend this book to anyone interested in spiritual warfare studies. This book connects well with Priscilla Shirers book War Room.
