I’m often times amazed by how God works in people’s lives. I just finished reading Bart Millard’s book I Can Only Imagine and I’m amazed how God guided this man through his suffering painful relationship with his parents and created something so beautiful a song, I Can Only Imagine. A song that I have sung many times in church. A song that has often times left me weeping on the floor.
I appreciate Millard’s candid telling of his painful history and how it changed him. How he build and reconciled his relationship with his father before he passed away. How he rebuild himself with weight loss surgery and the building of a worship band that gave us such beautiful music.
I have not seen the movie, I want to. This memoir is well worth read. It is inspiring and lets you get a personal glimpse into the life of the writer who wrote I Can Only Imagine.
