I enjoy getting lost in a story, especially when the story involved food and a chef. Reading “The Saturday Night Supper Club” by Carla Laureano allowed me to relax and enter the world of chefs. The romance wasn’t gross or so unbelievable that it made my skin crawl either. It was just the right amount of romance, intrigue, and the food descriptions made my mouth water.
I don’t read novels that often, but when I do I want something that is inspiring, heartfelt, and has some adventure in it. The Saturday Night Supper Club meets those requirements for me.
Every now and again I like to get lost in a story so that I don’t have to focus on the pain my body is experiencing. Laureano’s book is time well spent.
