In exchange for my review I was given a free copy of Holley Gerth’s book “Fierce Hearted: Live Fully, Love Bravely by Revell. The opinions I express are my own and I was not influenced.
Fierce Hearted: Live Fully, Love Bravely by Holley Gerth spoke to my heart, especially the part where Gerth says that there are people who go full speed ahead and then there are the sprinters. I am a sprinter, I take my time, because my goal is not to check things off some list that I have to accomplish to be recognize and feel successful. I want to connect with my writing and my research projects. My intention is to show love and kindness in everything I do. I aim to be intentional with every step I take.
I enjoyed reading Gerth’s book. I found myself screaming, yes, amen, as I read each chapter. Being fierce isn’t mean, ugly, or cruel. Its being intentional and looking fear in the face and saying I am God’s and fear you are not going to stop me. I like that. I have let fear, rejection, and a sense of abandonment stop me before, I am to do better. God has shown us the tools.
This book is for any woman, at any age to get her sword and suit on and become who God created her to be.
