In exchange for my review of “Street Smarts from Proverbs” by Mitch Kruse I was given a free copy by Faith Words. The opinions I express are my own and were in no way influenced.
Proverbs and the book of Psalms are my favorite books in the Bible. So when I received “Street Smarts from Proverbs” by Mitch Kruse I was looking forward to diving into this book. Proverbs is the book of wisdom in the Bible. I know that you can read one chapter a month for 31 days and you can get small tidbits that will guide you in life.
As I read Kruse’s book I love that fact that he broke down Proverbs into sections that helps the reader harvest wisdom from God’s word. The chapter that spoke the most to my heart was chapter 13 and it was on Discipline. Discipline is one area in my life that I am not that great at. What I love is the story he shared of a young man who despite his obstacles and health challenges continues to move forward towards God and find the pearls of wisdom to help him. I never considered that the fact discipline means learner or something one willing to learn. I want to be that way, but when it comes to being discipline in my health, finances, or life in general I struggle. I found great wisdom and value in this book
This book is for anyone who is seeking wisdom for themselves and in leadership in their community. You will gain a ton of valuable life practical applications and chances to practice your journey to wisdom, God’s wisdom.
