In exchange for my honest review I was given a free copy of “Put the Disciple into Discipline” by Erin MacPherson and Ellen Schuknecht by Faith Words. The opinions I express are my own and were in no way influenced.

Being a parent is a hard job. While reading “Put the Disciple into Discipline” by Erin MacPherson and Ellen Shuknecht I realized that even further. I’m not a parent. I do however, have nieces and nephews and I have helped take care of children throughout my life. Being a support for a parent is something that I believe needs to happen.

What I appreciate about this book is that there are some practical solutions to problems. And It also has ideas to help you to talk to your children about some hard things, such as, being a bully to someone, being bullied by someone, porn, sex, helping them through shame, and anger. I also value that this book doesn’t just take one personality of a child in mind, there are helps for all the personalities that a child may have. Maybe not all of them, but many of them. I like that approach. One solution doesn’t fit every personality of a child and you have to approach each child differently.

I believe every single parent should read this book and gather information that would help them with their children. Like I said above, being a parent is a hard job and I admire those who choose to become a parent. I am done with this book and I have chosen a special mom who I am sending this book to.
