I was given an opportunity to read and give my opinion on the book “Bone Broth Elixir” by Body Superb. The last year since I learned about the health benefits on making my own bone broth I have been making it myself. I use my crockpot. It’s easy for me. I have two autoimmune issues, along with high blood pressure and diabetes. Although, I don’t believe the hype that has been going around about it being good for your bones, etc. I do know it is good for gut health. It has been proven through modern science. My health is important to me. Since I have to go into for chemo infusions every six months and if I don’t take care of my gut I get into serious trouble. I have two crockpots that I use for making my bone broth. And it is delicious, especially when you want to make yummy soup.
What I liked about this book with the recipes is the many different flavors and combinations that they suggested? Such as using, cardamom, turmeric, and other spices and herbs that help with inflammation issues. I will be referencing this book often for when I am making my own bone broths.
