I have a question for my readers. Read the verse below:
Proverbs 19:20
Hear counsel, receive instruction, and accept correction that you may be wise in the time to come.
I would like to know what does wise counsel, receiving instruction, and accepting correction look like. What does it feel like? Sound like? Is everyone who gives you counsel supposed to be heard and followed? What helps you decide whose counsel you will follow?
Many times people give what they think is good advise based on their fear or misunderstanding. But sometimes God sends us messages through good counsel. Often I base the amount of faith I put in these messages based on the fruit I see on the messenger’s life and also on how well they walk with me (if mostly they bring strife, stress and confusion to my life I listen but don’t give much heed). But before you make the decision to change something in your life, ask God. He always wants the best for you.
