Confession time, week one of the challenge did not go so well. First, I over ate big time a few days this week and I only exercised two days this week, how pathetic is that? I have no idea why I let myself down after declaring my desire for movement and good nutrition.
The first thing that happened is that I need to figure out a different way of doing the bicycle crunches that does not cut off my air while I am doing them. While doing them I hit my stoma area and I make this horrible noise. It is annoying and uncomfortable. Thank goodness I am not in a public place when I do them. I love doing the Superman. I love what it does to my back. This is the season for fleas and so I have been eradicating them so I can get on my floor and do these exercises without being bombarded. Hopefully I killed the buggers and this week will go better.
I am trying not to beat myself up too badly over the poor choices I made this week because that does not help me to get where I want to be.
My biggest victory this week was acknowledging that I was struggling and didn’t go into mindless eating for too long. I reached out to my friends and it did help.
My goals this week is to:
1) drink more water than anything else
2) eat at least 3 servings of vegetables a day.
3) Do the abs exercise 4 times this week. And I just might have to skip doing the crunches until I can figure out a different approach so it doesn’t hit my stoma area.
