I have been contemplating changing up my own environment to meet my goals that I want to accomplish. Feng Shui by Cheryl Grace came at the right time into my life, thank you God.
What I learned from Grace’s book is that you can change the energy of your home by what you own, the colors, and how it is arranged. I know this is true. When I go to my friends Linda or Karen and Summer’s , and Amber’s homes I feel peaceful, rested, energized, and relaxed. They have made some great choices in their décor and in the atmosphere of their homes. When I lived in my old home in Longview, there was no peace, relaxation, rest, or energy. There was bad energy present because of the hoard of junk that laid everywhere; even if some of that hoard had value it still was negative energy that reflected its owner’s attitude. When Rick passed away I cleared it out but it still had that vibe in the home and that is why I sold it. It was a falling down mess and I was not capable of taking care of it at that time. In my current home, it is much better, but still lacks something. I don’t have a mounding hoard of junk everywhere. This book helped me to see where my errors lie and I will be and am working on changing the issues I perceive. I want a beautiful home that is my sanctuary for me and for my cat Nicholas.
One thing that I did notice and got a great idea from in this book was adding living plants and creatures to your home to add vitality and peace. I already have Nicholas my awesome cat and yes he has added a lot of love into my life. Last week I bought myself a houseplant and it is now sitting in its new spot on my kitchen table. I love it. While walking towards the rec room in my apartments I spotted a healthy plant on the giveaway table. I have no idea why someone would give such a beautiful plant away, but I swiped it and added it to my plant collection. Somehow I am being lead to having more living things in my environment. And the best part is Nicholas is not eating them.
If you want decorating ideas to enhance your home this is a great book to have and read. I know I got some great ideas. And I am not on my way to cultivating the type of energy I want in my apartment, Thank you Cheryl Grace…
