I have a fascination with Italy and so when I saw this book I knew I had to read it. Bravely selling and packing up your things and moving to Italy would be something I don’t think I could ever do, but Crisswell did. She learned to cook, got a job pruning the grapes, and even started teaching. Her descriptions of the people she met, the place she lived, walked, and ate at are amazing. I can visualize where she was and enjoyed the experience with her and feel her frustration as well.
If you want to go on an adventure without out leaving the sanctuary of your home this would be a great book to pick up. I know I certainly enjoyed reading it and I am sure you would too.
